Yesterday, during a California trip I stopped by at above mentioned museum in Riverside. In a modern setting, there are three floors of changing photographic exhibitions and video installations. Currently it's all about outer space...
But there is also a permanent exhibition in a room with a small but exquisite camera collection. Focus is on technical innovation and the beginning of mass Photography (first Kodak cameras, etc.). The highlight of the collection for me was the Ermanox. The visit was worthwhile especially as there was free admission yesterday...
